Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.

A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions towards female individuals.

The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
