Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This incident is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
