Trump's Granddaughter Receives Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star has impressive online presence
Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers as she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous golf courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically told me to go out there and have fun," she continued.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions recently and maintains position 461 in AJGA listings.
However she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's an even better human being. He advised me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in the sport at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials stated that her participation helps introduce golf to different demographics, especially reaching youth audiences.
The young star maintains a massive following and just introduced an exclusive clothing and lifestyle company.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
